Wheel of Fortune

Brother International Europe

A fully functioning Wheel of Fortune flash game, with accompanying low-fi 90’s intro.

A company as large as Brother IE have to keep up staff training on a regular basis on a variety of different products. This often means that the training sessions can go on for a while and become quite tedious.

Brother’s HR department decided it was time to completely revamp their methods, and instead of the standard ‘trainer + powerpoint’ model, they would instead turn the entire training session into a game show with questions, rounds, silly costumes and actual prizes.

This was an open brief with all ideas welcome and so after a bit of research of well known (and cheesy) games from the 90’s, I decided that Wheel of Fortune was something not only fun and easy to play, but could also be easily adapted to incorporate large group play to involve the entire class.

A faithful to the 90’s VHS style intro was produced, which included filming on location to composite the trainers into the intro sequence; along with a fully functioning flash game built from the ground up.
