The TEV Project
A detailed look at a regular journey from door to office using the TEV system.
The TEV, or ‘Tracked Electrical Vehicle’ system is the brain child of inventor and successful businessman Will Jones. The idea behind the world revolutionary transport system is to take a standard car and with very little modification, convert it for use on the completely automated, emission free, electric TEV track.
The inspiration for this top down persistent camera following a single character on a journey, came from the original Grand Theft Auto games. I remember wondering how amazing that game would of looked if it was fully rendered and detailed.
When this brief came through the door from The TEV Project, it seemed to match this idea perfectly and so the project was born.
It often felt a little meaningless going into so much detail on objects that would only be on screen for a few fleeting seconds, and often at high speed, but the end result was worth it.
